Bermuda Loquat Jam Recipe (video)
Loquat season has hit us in full force so why not seize the opportunity to make some tasty treats using these golden gems. Try this recipe for Loquat Jam and use it on your favorite baked goods. Shes well!!
BERMUDA LOQUAT JAM
INGREDIENTS:
1. 4 cups of ripened loquats
2. 4 cups sugar
3. 1 cup water
DIRECTIONS
1. Peel and remove seeds from loquats. Reserve a bit of seeds.
2. Place loquats, seeds, sugar and water into a large pot. Bring to boil.
3. Set to medium heat and stir continuously until mixture darkens and becomes thick. This will take 40-50 mins
4. If you prefer a smoother texture you can blend mixture in a blender. If not you can leave the mixture as is. Be sure to remove the seeds before you blend and jar.
5. Ladle into sanitized & warm mason jars and seal with lid.
